Romance & Nostalgie uses the collaboration of different artists and artistic practices to rethink our physical and emotional attachments to things, people and places, whether material or immaterial, real or digital. This first issue of the fanzine deliberately takes on themes that have been over-used in the art world, drawing on their clichés, kitsch and cultural conditioning to explore the way in which they are first and foremost images, trapping us in standardised representations and expectations while inspiring subjective and intimate interpretations.
